We've all been there: It's gross outside and we're bored inside and have no idea what to do. Images of splashing in puddles with our pink goloshes during our youth (who's kidding, I do that now) flash through our minds and we reminisce back to the good ol' days of when we were kids and didn't have 10 assignments, 3 tests, and a project all due on Monday.
So, what you're telling me is you want to be a kid again and have something to do on those blustery and wet days? Okay, I'll give you some ideas.
1. Finish your homework that you keep putting off.
I know what you're thinking: "Why would I do homework when this weather is meant for me to be lazy?" I'll tell you why: because you have nothing else to do and you know you need to play catch-up anyway. You'll be glad when it's finally finished and can reward yourself by being lazy. Until then, do your homework!
2. Bake yourself a tasty treat.
Have a new recipe you've been wanting to try out? Now's the time to do it! Grab a friend or your significant other to help in the kitchen. Hopefully, though, you're a bit smarter than Fauna when it comes to folding eggs. And you don't even have to share!
3. Read a book that isn't for school.
Real talk: when was the last time you sat down and read a book for fun? It's probably been awhile. Use this gloomy day to brighten your imagination with a good read. Not every good story has to come from a TV.
4. Take a nap:
I know this is the one you've been waiting for. Take advantage of the darkness outside and snooze the rain away. You'll wake up refreshed and ready to embrace the weather. Or, you could just roll over and fall back asleep. You do you.
5. Watch your favorite movie or catch up on your shows.
Whether it's on DVD or Netflix, now is the perfect time to lounge on the sofa for hours on end. And if you're feeling adventurous, you can even go to the movie theater to catch the latest flick! But I won't blame you if you'd rather not have to don a jacket and an umbrella.
