5 Questions That I Will Be Asked Over The Holidays
Maggie Kooi

This holiday season will be my first as a college student. I go to Michigan every year for the holidays because thats where the rest of the fam bam lives. But this year I will most likely be asked these questions below (maybe they will all be asked too much, we shall see lol). Here are my answers to the questions below, answers will vary depending on who asks the questions.

How's college?

To this I will respond that college has been a roller coaster so far. It has had its ups and downs, more ups than downs for me. I could not have asked for better professors. But not to say that is hasn't been hard managing 5 classes and studying for each of them. But overall, the first semester has treated me nicely (GPA wise as well) .

Do you like your roommate?

Yes but we are a little different than I would have thought. Homegirl likes her YouTube and Netflix like me but other than that we do not have much else in common. But she is very nice and we get along so that is all that matters!

Have you met any new friends?

Yes, I sure have! My 9:30am pysch class with Kaily & Savannah included us grabbing Starbucks before class because we needed our coffee and bagels for Frozone's class (okay professor Mitchell's class, but he does look like him). I have also met Kaily's roommate, Selena. I have met some new friends that live in my hall. Need I say more?

Do you have a boyfriend yet?

No, and I am not exactly looking for one at the moment. Yes, there are some nice looking males at the UWG gym, but they do not want anything to do with sweaty me lol. So I think I am good for now!

Are you ready to go back?

Hell yes, my parents are bugging the crap out of me at home about wanting me to go back already. Haha no but I am ready to go back to see my friends and get more of my core classes out of the way so I can start focusing on my classes for my major.

That was the end of the questions, hopefully I won't be asked these questions too many times during the holidays haha!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
