It's 2016, and you know what that means—a presidential election! This election cycle in particular has had a media spectacle surrounding one of its most divisive characters: Donald Trump. I'm here today to do one thing. I'm here to contribute to that spectacle with yet another partisan article! I believe that pugs, with their very emotive, brachycephalic faces, exhibit expressions that could be indicative of their feelings about a Trump Presidency.

1. Rosie

Rosie has a few concerns about seeing everybody's favorite businessman-turned-politician becoming president. Her most recent concerns are centered on the attacks that Trump directed at The Zodiac Killer's Ted Cruz's wife. Rosie wonders how Trump can claim his "respect for women" while launching misogynistic attacks at Heidi Cruz and Megyn Kelly, among others. Rosie made this face when asked if she thought that Trump's views on women would get better should he win the presidency

2. Baxter

Baxter is concerned about Trump's statements concerning Muslims, in particular the statements about registering Muslims and that Muslims are choosing to ignore terror threats. Baxter really wants to know why Trump is saying these things even though the Minnesota GOP has condemned his statements. Baxter gave me this worried look when asked how American Muslim lives could change if America is "made great again."

3. Pop

The thing that worries Pop is the violence at the Trump rallies. Vines and videos of people being sucker punched don't really appeal to Pop as a peace-loving pug, and they really make him wonder if this violence is representative of all Trump supporters. In addition, Pop wonders if the beliefs that fuel these displays of violence could affect life in the U.S. should Trump win the election.

4. Danda

Danda was terrified when I asked her of her opinion should Trump's immigration reform be put into effect. Outside of the blatant racism and xenophobia that Trump displayed when he singled immigrants out as rapists and murderers, Danda has ethical concerns that plague her, such as the issue of uprooting families, as well as the cost of putting Trump's immigration reform plan into effect.

5. Camembert

One thing haunts Camembert's thoughts; thoughts that pervaded her birthday celebration. She is terrified of a presidency where the president blatantly and unabashedly uses tanner in such a tacky and splotchy way. Truly terrifying.

Well, I think I got a good range of answers from a variety of pugs. Bear in mind that these pugs are not representative of all pugs' political beliefs, and there likely are pugs out there that will, like humans, differ in their beliefs.

"I've only slept nine hours over the past four days, so I'm right on the verge of a nervous breakdown." - Leslie Knope

The library. Club lib. The place every college student goes when they want to try and be a productive member of society. Who better to explain your experience than Parks and Rec?

1. When you've finally found the energy to leave your dorm room and walk into the lib like

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
