I would've never thought that I'd care to still be a gym leader at 19 years old or that "Pokemon" would still be a thing for this long, but from all of the hype and fun I'm seeing people have I'm pretty glad this is so. Seeing a bunch of college kids chasing Snorlaxes in the city and dominating gyms in their neighborhood is quite a sight to see. But now that we really can go on journeys to catch 'em all, why not? While some people will still seem to find it ridiculous that we're all walking around with our phones out, it's actually doing a lot of good all over the world.
1. Getting out.
Ever wanted to get your younger siblings outside and breathing that fresh air? Tell them a Mewtwo is in the neighborhood and watch them cover every corner of their community.
2. Connecting with others.
Ever find yourself not knowing what to say next in a conversation? Are you terrible at flirting? Or easily prone to awkward silence? Ask them about their Pokemon and team up, or use this as an opportunity to discover and exploit all of their Pokemons' weaknesses and make them your rival.
3. Getting exercise.
I walked more than three miles looking for a rare Pokemon, and I have the legs to prove it.
4. Always being on time.
With a Charmander chilling around your job every day, you'd be surprised by how many of your coworkers will be there before opening hours.
5. It's for everyone.
Studies show that "Pokemon" is most popular in age groups ranging from five-year-olds to people in their early 30s. What better way to bond with your younger siblings than a nice day at the park catching fire types followed by ice cream?
