''There is magic in long-distance relationships. They let you relate to other human beings in a way that goes beyond being physically together and is often more profound'' - Diana Cortes

I've been blessed with having long-distance best friends in my life. Although there are cons with having your best friends live so far away, there are a few perks of having long-distance best friends.

1. Finally Being Reunited

You may have been counting down for weeks or months, but the excitement and anticipation of seeing your other half are always very exciting. Being able to talk to them in person instead of Facetime and taking on life with them by your side is always something you look forward to.

2. They give the best advice from the outside, and they are always there for you.

They give the best outside advice with whatever you are having problems with, and they always have your back. They're your Meredith to your Cristina.

3. Getting to travel, and to plan trips to visit one another.

Planning trips to go see where they live, and getting to see their favorite place to eat or get coffee at is always fun to do.

4. You grow closer to them

I always thought that you wouldn't be close to someone if they lived 2,000 miles away from you, but I found out that I am actually closer to my long-distance best friends than my friends at home.

5. No matter how far they may be, you know that they are always there.

Your best friend may live 700 or 2,000 miles away, but you know that they are always a call or text away.

Long distance best friends may live way too far away, but they have these five perks and more, including unconditional love.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
