College is a time for exploration and fun, but as the year comes to a close, the best season comes about! It's summer time and I am more excited then ever. Here are some pros and cons that I have experienced when I come home from college for the summer.

1. Pro: Summer!

It's summer time!! Now is the time to sit back relax, enjoy the sunshine, get a tan, and have fun!

2. Con: Bossy Parents.

While you were so used to taking care of yourself, your parents want to boss you around again. You get to hear things like "Where are you going??" "What time will you be home?" and my personal favorite, "When you live under my house, you play by my rules!"

3. Pro: Tailgates!

It's tailgating season!! Summer means more concerts! So pop open that trunk, get some drinks, play some music, and have fun socializing with friends!

4. Con: Summer Jobs.

Summer time also means time to get a summer job... Time to save up for school in the fall. Unfortunatly, the parent loan that you were used to getting in high school doesn't exactly apply when you're in college...

5. Pro: Friendships!

Summer is a great time to spend and catch up with your friends, especially the ones that didn't go to the same college as you.

6. Con: Leaving friends is hard.

Unfortunatly, you also have to leave the friends you made at school that don't live where you live. This makes for tears, but don't worry, you'll see them again in time!

7. Pro:SLEEP!

Sleep! You get to sleep in your own bed and not the stiff, hard ones the dorm uses

8. Con: Cleaning.

Chores... Remember the saying "My house, my rules" that I mentioned above, well unfortunatly this also applies to chores. You're parents want you to pick up the slack around the house now that you're back.

9. Pro: Traveling!

Road trips!! Without school in the way you can go on road trips with your friends. Amuesment parks, beach, mesuems, anything and everything is possible now! (Assuming you can get off work that is!)

10. Con: Being bored.

Finally, boredom... Even though there is so much to do in summer, sometimes you still have thoose awkward moments when you really don't know what to do and all your friends are busy.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
