5 Problems People With Curly Hair Have

Having curly hair can be a curse and blessing, and every day is a battle with it. Let me tell you some problems us curly-haired people have, so when you say "I wish I had your hair," you might think twice.

1. There is no waking up with hair that is acceptable to go out in society with.

I basically look like a troll of some sort when I wake up every day. And no, I cannot simply just brush it and my hair will look better. That is not how curly hair works.

2. Brushing your hair never really works and is time consuming.

I can't just run a brush through my hair and it'll look fine. Curly hair is full of knots and tangles no matter how much you brush it or how long you brush it. It takes me about 20 minutes tops to get my hair completely knot-free. Not to mention I've broken a brush or two.

3. Humidity is your worst enemy.

I usually can't step outside during the summer without looking like a poodle or like I just stuck my finger in an electrical socket. Humidity is the absolute worse when it comes to curly hair, it's like it just expands and has a mind of its own.

3. When you straighten your hair, blow dry it, or step outside, it just goes back to being curly.

There's no use of even bothering to style your hair sometimes, because it just goes back to being curly when the elements are involved. For instance, sophomore year of high school I was so excited to straighten my hair for school pictures, took an hour doing that, only to have it ruined by the rain.

4. Your wallet is drained from the amount of products you have to buy to control your hair.

My hair requires a decent amount of products to make it seem slightly less frizzy. There really is no frizz free product for curly-haired people, let me tell you. But to maintain hair that is somewhat presentable I have to keep up with buying the products to control it.

5. People always want to touch your hair.

I like having my hair played with, but by people I know. When a stranger comes up to me and feels the need to pull on or touch one of my curls without asking, I do not like it. So please, ask before you touch, it's getting old.

Despite the problems I have with my curly hair, I do love it. It's something a lot of people would like to have, and at the end of the day I'm lucky that I do have it.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
