Springtime is just around the corner and I don’t care what anyone (or any groundhog) says. If you’re like me and struggle to adjust to different weather patterns (or maybe you just wanted it to be cold for a little longer because you had some cute winter outfits that never got to see the light of day!) then I have some suggestions to make the transition from spring to winter just a little bit easier.
1. Clean out/rearrange your closet
I know it’s hard but getting rid of clothes or even just reorganizing the ones you already have if you have attachment issues like me is a great way to feel just a little bit better and a little bit more springy than before. Pro tip: put all your sweaters in the back portion of your closet and bring forward all your springtime clothes to get you extra in the mood for some sunshine
2. Eat spring fruits and vegetables
Now I know that I’m no champion when it comes to eating my fruits and vegetables but with springtime coming around I may have to consider trying some springtime foods to get me in the mood. Strawberries, asparagus, radishes, rhubarb, spinach, artichokes and peas are all great fresh spring time foods!
3. Spend more time in the great outdoors
After being cooped up all winter with nothing but the heats of our laptops to keep us warm, it would do us some good to go outside and breathe in the fresh (for now) air. Studying, playing catch (or fetch with our furry legged friends), or even just sitting are great ways to enjoy the sunshine that was hidden away all winter long.
4. Do a mental check
The winter season can sometimes be tough on us so it’s important that every once in a while we do a mental check just to see where we are in terms of our emotions. The spring season is a great time to renew our mentality and look forward to the season ahead.
5. Look at pictures of baby animals born in the spring
Everyone knows that baby animals are born in the spring time so now that it is spring that means there is going to be no shortage of cute puppies and kittens to pet all season long.
