Instead I think of the man you are, and the woman who deserves you.

We took polls for opinions and talked to everybody but each other.

I meant I needed an adventure buddy

But then you did.

Thinking of us is like a childhood memory:

Euphoric, encompassing, and wildly comforting

Until I realize just how much time has gone by

Just how much I’ve grown

And just how unrecognizable those two people are
