Germany is a beautiful country, with a lot of history and a lot of places to visit. Trust me, these places are worth the visit.
Here are five places you have to visit when you visit Germany:
1. Schloss Neuschwanenestein in Bavaria.
The Castle built by Kind Lugwig II is visited by 1.4 million people every year from all around the world. It's build in a romantic style with pompous rooms in a picturesque surrounding.
Fun Fact: The castle in Disneyworld is build after Schloss Neuschwanenestein. The more you know.
2. The Brandenburger Gate.
The gate is the sign for the separation of Berlin and Germany and is located in Berlin, the capital of Germany. It was destroyed during WWII and was reconstructed in 1956.
Fun Fact: Napoleon stole the Quadriga from the top of the Brandenburger Gate.
3. The Berlin Wall.
There is still a part of the Berlin wall left, which you should visit when you go to Berlin. The wall was built in 1961 and was knocked down by the germans.The Berlin Wall is another sign for the separation of Berlin.
Fun Fact: John F. Kennedy did not tell Berliners that he was a "jelly donut“. He said he is a Berliner.
4. The Cologne Cathedral.
The cathedral was built in 1248. The church, constructed in a gothic style, has an average of 20,000 visitors on a daily basis. It is built in the form of a cross and it has a lot of distortion.
Fun fact: It took 632 years to finish the building.
5. The Autostadt.
If you are into cars, then the Aurostadt is the perfect place for you. Maybe you knew that the VW is a german car and even if you don't like this car brand, this place has museums for a lot of other cars, too. For example, Porsche, Lamborghini or Audi.
Fun Fact: The Autostadt is in the same town VW was invented.
