5 Places To Grab A Great Burger In Chattanooga
Restaurant News

Chattanooga is home to many delicious restaurants and savory foods. Among the options, there are a few places that produce a hamburger worth remembering. Here are five restaurants where you can grab a great burger in Chattanooga.

1. Bar Louie

Bar Louie is located within Hamilton Place mall in Chattanooga, TN. They have nine different burger choices that all look more than appealing. Personally, I'm obsessed with the Backyard BBQ burger. It features cheddar, barbecue sauce, bacon, and fried onion strings served with your choice of fries or tots. Bar Louie also has a variety of alcoholic drinks and a diverse menu other than burgers (although I don't know why you wouldn't get a burger). The best news is that they are open late. They open at 11 a.m. every day. They close at 12 a.m. Sunday-Thursday and 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. I would venture to say that Bar Louie produces some of the best burgers that I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Not to mention the side dishes are also amazing (God bless the macaroni). If you haven't ever dropped in, you need to. You won't be disappointed.

2. Urban Stack

Urban Stack is located in downtown Chattanooga at 12 W 13th Street. It features a giant selection of burgers. So, if you're in the mood for a breakfast delight then you may want to try the Good Morning, Sunshine. It features bacon, a fried egg, white cheddar cheese, white vinegar mayo, lettuce and tomato. If you want a more hearty selection, you can aim for The Big Mike, which contains two all beef patties, Urban Stack special sauce, shredded lettuce, American cheese, diced pickled and onions on a triple stack Niedlov's bun. Any burger that you choose is sure to be a great burger. They open every day at 11 a.m. They close Sunday-Thursday at 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

3. Slick's Burgers

Slick's Burgers is located in downtown Chattanooga at 309 E Main Street. They offer a variety of different types of burgers and sizes. You can get a two and a half, four or seven ounce Black Angus burger, so you can customize it to your own preference. Additionally, you can choose from one of the upgrade options. They also offer turkey, chicken, lamb, and veggie options as well. They have a great atmosphere with corn hole and live music. Slick's Burgers is a must stop for creating a custom burger with an amazing flavor. I cannot wait to try it out due to the raving reviews. They open at 11 a.m. every day. They close at 10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 9 p.m. on Sunday.

4. Five Guys

There are two Five Guys locations in Chattanooga. One location is at 401 Broad Street in downtown Chattanooga. The other location is at 2020 Gunbarrel Road near Hamilton Place mall. Five Guys is a frequent stop of mine to get a good quality burger at a decent price. They offer different sized burgers and allow you to add whatever toppings you choose. They also have highly recognized fries, with Cajun being the most popular. Their burgers always satisfy my taste buds, and I plan on returning soon. Both locations are open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. It's a great place to get fast food service and receive A+ quality flavors.

5. Cook Out

Cook Out is a fast food restaurant that is relatively new to the Chattanooga area. It is located at 5001 Brainerd Road in Chattanooga. One perk of Cook Out is that they have a drive-thru so that you can grab it and go. Cook Out has a variety of different foods at ridiculously cheap prices. You can get a Cook Out Tray, which consists of an entree and two sides for $4.99. Not to mention, the burgers rock. They taste like your dad just pulled them off of the grill at home. I could hardly believe the great quality of the burgers for the low prices. If you're looking for a good burger on a cheap budget, this is the place to go. They open every day at 10 a.m. Plus, they close at 3 a.m. Sunday-Thursday and 4 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

The next time you are in search of a juicy burger, try out one of these five awesome places in Chattanooga. Beautiful burgers make everything better. Happy eating!

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

One Book Made Me Question Existence In Its Entirety

"The Stranger" by Albert Campus touches upon many heavy elements... but not in the way you expect. Although it touches upon the aspects of death and love, it also deals with a hidden philosophy similar to that of nihilism.

The story follows the short life events of Meursault, a Frenchman whose carelessness for his actions eventually ends him in jail and dependent on a jury of people to judge the ethicality of his decision and the punishment that he deserves. He eventually gets the death penalty and all throughout he is nonchalant and almost apathetic towards his situation. He finally snaps when the prison sends a priest to him to absolve him of his sins and to cajole him in confessing to the lord.
