College is hard, really hard. While we're all so excited to leave the nest and find new experiences away from home, we forget that it comes with the school aspect and a sometimes overwhelming amount of work. Eventually, we just hit that point in the semester where it gets harder and harder to get out of bed. The work continues to pile up and we feel like everything that can go wrong, is. Here are just five photos that describe what it means to "hit that point"...
1. When you're doing your best to make it through with your heads up.
Oh Leslie Knope, we all know how you feel. When you're trying to do some good and try to manage more than you can handle, you might end up tumbling down a hill or two. Or, you might throw yourself down the hill in agony of the semester. But despite it all, you just keep pushing through!
2. When you hit your breaking point.
With the stress of college comes many many mental break downs and tears. Sometimes over school work or sometimes just because you didn't get to Starbucks before it closed. Us college students are a rather on-edge and crying over something or nothing is just part of the life. Keep pushing through!
3. When you become numb to the rest of the world.
I think this photo speaks for itself and 99.9% of the time, this is how I would describe the majority of my college career. But hey, thats all right! Eventually we become numb to everything around us and aren't sure whether we care anymore.
4. When you're trying to get your life back together.
Papers, exams, quizzes, projects and anything else you can name is most likely due all in the same week. Eventually, it just sort of takes over in all the worst ways possible. Is it because we actually have all this work or because we procrastinate? More to come on this topic...
5. When the misery is finally over and you couldn't be more proud of your work.
Despite all the work, us college students get it done somehow, someway. And although it may have nearly killed us doing it all, we couldn't be more proud of our masterpieces. Plus, the completion of it all means we can finally go back to sleep.
