With all classes being put online due to coronavirus and many students being forced to move back home, we've all just lost a major sense of freedom. Not to mention we lost the structure of being on campus for classes. And while we may be quarantined with our families who are destined to drive us mad, it's not a totally negative thing. Here are five perks I have already noticed since being at home.
1. Hanging out with your pets

Many of us had to say goodbye to our pets when we moved away to school, now you have unlimited access to them.
2. Home cooked meals and not having to pay for your own food

Everything tastes better when you don't have to pay for it or when it's cooked by mom (love you mom). By the way, yes, this is spaghetti in the form of a cake.
3. Family time

I miss my siblings like crazy when I'm gone, but I know this isn't the case for everyone.
4. Being back in your own room
Your bed at home is always more comfortable than your bed at school (you know I'm not wrong)
5. Seeing hometown friends more often, despite the plea for social distance

It's hard to move away from friends and not see them as often. I don't know about you, but I've been out of the house almost every day seeing friends that I don't go to school with anymore. The photo above is a picture of my friend with her dog at Hanging Rock State Park.
I know moving back home has been a major upset for all of us, and the seniors have had it the worst by far. But we have to look for a bright side in every bad situation.
