October has arrived and it is time for spookiness. If you are not a horror movie fan but love ghost shows, here is the list for you. I have compiled the shows that I think are the best. These are my opinion but they are not in any order. I recommend watching these shows with the lights out and maybe with a friend or two. Maybe with some popcorn.

1. "Ghost Adventures"

Oh how I love this show. My sister and I watch this show all the time together even though it scares us. This ghosts and spirits on this show are scary and creepy, most of the time. This show never gets old and I highly recommend it. They may do some stupid things like investigating alone but the show makes up for it. I like the format of this show as well. It presents the evidence as they discover it which makes the whole show interesting.

2. "Ghost Hunters"

The fond memories of this show. I used to watch this show regularly until I went to college. I watched it when Grant was still on the show which shows you how old I was. I was obsessed with this show. It follows The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS) and their investigations. I love this show with all my heart. This show reveals the evidence at the end of the show but it is still interesting all the way through. These guys are professionals. They go into the place trying to "debunk" or prove it isn't haunted so they don't think everything is evidence which adds some credibility to their name. They are not going into a location and pointing to everything and saying "A ghost!"

3. "Destination Truth"

This show man. I love this show so much. It not only looks at ghosts but legends as well. Paranormal monsters are at the center of this show. I used to watch this show religiously. It goes around the world investigating cryptozoological creatures and ghosts. This show reveals many cultures and adds humor that many paranormal shows are missing. This is a show you should not miss.

4. "A Haunting"

This show used to scare the sh*t out of me and my sister. We would watch it all the time when we got home from school. I like to think it was the show that bonded us. We watch it from time to time together. This show is still scary. It can be cheesy at times but the with the stories and the narrator's voice, it makes a spooky combination.

5. "Ghostly Encounters"

I have seen this show only a couple of times but it is scary. It depicts people's personal encounters with spirits and reenacts them. It will surely satisfy your paranormal needs. I like this one because I love the archival footage they use. I highly recommend this one.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
