Clemson football games are a big deal here in South Carolina. If you've been to one, you know the drill- the chants, the tailgates, and the traditions. An important part of any Clemson game is what you're wearing. Here's a breakdown of some outfits you're bound to see at any Tigers game.
1. The Oversized Jersey
A classic Clemson game day outfit. The first time I wore this outfit to a game my mom gasped and asked where my pants were. But any real Clemson girl knows that your pants are there... you just can't see them. Usually paired with tan sandals and your favorite pair of gold hoops.
2. The Orange Dress with Cowboy Boots
Clemson is crawling with cowboy boots on gameday. If you're a college football fan in the south, chances are that somewhere in your closet you've got a pair of these deep in there. And if you know anything about going to a Clemson game, you know that the only way to wear them is with a classic Clemson Orange dress that you probably bought downtown. Even Tay-Tay knows what's up!
3. The Guy who goes All Out
Everybody knows someone like this. He lives and breathes for the Clemson tigers and takes any chance he can to show it. He's wearing head to toe orange and will probably leave in tears if the game doesn't turn out as expected. Sit next to him during the game, because he's super fun and you'll probably end up on TV.
4. The "I'm All Out of Orange and Purple Outfits so I'm Going to Pretend White is One of Clemson's Colors"
Ok ok, to be fair, white actually is one of Clemson's colors, but if we're being realistic, no one thinks of white when they think of Clemson. We've all been here ladies- the end of football season is near and you've already instagrammed yourself in all your cute orange and purple outfits and you don't really want to wear that orange T-Shirt that that you wore to Fike three times this week. The solution? Your favorite white dress or top with purple and orange jewelry and you're good to go.
5. The Outfit Your Boyfriend is Wearing
He doesn't understand why he needs to look nice, but you've explained to him ten times that your parents are coming to tailgate and you don't want it to be obvious how late he was out last night. After 5 more minutes of back and forth, he throws on a orange button down and of course, some sunglasses.
