It's that time again! The glorious long days of summer are coming to an end and school is right around the corner. Every year around this time I find myself regretting my decisions to stay inside and watch Netflix most days. This year I have put my foot down! I have decided that I am going to adventure out this summer and experience some good summer fun! Here are some ideas that you can take advantage of while there is still time.

1. Go Backpacking

Nothing says adventure like backpacking the great outdoors. This is a great way to experience nature, but also a great way to get pulled outside of your comfort zone. There is no option for "fancy" camping and no chance of getting Netflix to occupy you!

2. Try Out Cliff Diving

This is one that is not for the faint of hearts. If you have never done this, there is no doubt that this will be an experience. This is adventure for those of you that love water and love getting that adrenaline rush.

3. Take A Road Trip

It's not everyday that you get a chance to get together with your friends and drive cross country. Once school starts back there will be no time for such spontaneity. Go out, take a risk, and end up where ever the road takes you!

4. Go Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Although not as intense as some of the other activities listed, stand up paddle boarding requires a modest amount of skill. Once getting balanced while standing, it is a fun laid back activity that allows you to chill out and appreciate the things around you.

5. Take A Canopy Zip Line Tour

Not only do you get to zip around high in the air, but you also get to see some amazing views. Zip lining is something that allows the participant to get that adrenaline rush, but also hang out and enjot the ride!

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
