The following tips are based on my own experiences. If these work for you, then consider yourself lucky. So here are some of the ridiculous and annoying things guys on dating apps do.

1. Starting with "Hey Princess" or "Hi beautiful" or anything similar.

It's cliche, its unoriginal, and its awkward. If you want to call a girl beautiful, that's fine, but I would wait till at least the second message. Or be specific and comment on something like beautiful eyes or maybe a really cool tattoo? If you say "hey beautiful" do I now have to immediately say something similar back to you? "Hey handsome." I don't like it.

Props to this guy for realizing his first attempt was lame.

2. "You look like the kind of girl who..."

Shut it down. Stop. Nope. No thank you. Please do NOT tell me what kind of girl I look like. Judging someone by their appearance is shitty 95% of the time (unless you've noticed one of my awesome band t-shirts and want to tell me OMG you would love this band too). Making some crazy assumption based on my 5 photos on Tinder, completely ridiculous.

3. Skipping right into fetish or explicit sexual talk.

There are sites for this. I am not on those. When I get a message that immediately is talking about extremely graphic things, it's a HUGE turn off.

Sometimes I just respond with gifs when men are being terrible...

4. One of those long, general, obviously copy/pasted messages.

Bonus loser points if you message me stuff that I could find on your profile.

Ending with "I have my life together" isn't exactly convincing...

5. Using awful pick-up lines.

Sometimes guys can use an awful pick-up line and its funny. Other times I want to crawl out of my own skin.

I'm literally speachless....

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
