5 Things Ohio University Students Did Besides Read On Reading Day

It’s no secret that kids our age aren’t huge fans of reading, although they should be. Instead, we grew up with TV and were the first generation to see social media evolve into the monster that it is today. So, it’s no surprise that us Bobcats were doing probably anything else but reading on Reading Day.

1. Drinking


Yes, are you surprised that some students at the Number One Party School in the nation were drinking on a Friday instead of reading?

2. Going Home

You can’t get too much reading done when you’re on the road to your hometown for a three day weekend.

3. Watching Netflix

The phrase “are you still watching?” may have been the most any of us read on reading day, but hey, at least we finally finished season one of "Narcos!"

4. Being Hungover

Some students went a little bit too hard on Reading Day Eve, you know, to celebrate education and reading right? In this case, it’s hard to read when you lay in bed all day, hiding from light and human life.

5. Working

Since the campus wasn’t actually closed, some people still had to go to work if they are university employees. Working on a university holiday? Blasphemy. You could have been reading!
