Everyone knows the New Year to be the time where we all try to better ourselves (or so we say we will). The cliche resolutions make it no further than on a piece of paper. Instead of striving for the truly unrealistic, here are some resolutions that might be worth making a top priority:
1) Losing weight/getting fit/actually being healthier
Wherever you fall under this spectrum of self-health, making this happen should actually be a top priority. It sounds so cliche but it can be pretty easy. Making small changes to make your lifestyle a lot healthier can seriously go a long way.
2) Raising your GPA
Take the new year as a time to focus more on school and getting the grades you need. Without the hectic mess of Fall semester and football season, it should be a lot easier to raise your GPA during spring.
3) Spending time with family
As college students, most of us get very little time at home, so making time to spend with your family when you are home should be something you try to do in the upcoming year.
4) Making new friends, bettering old friendships, and getting rid of toxic relationships
Another cliche one, but there's always room for new positive people in your life and ways to strengthen the friendships you already have. The new year should be a time for only positive people in your life.
5) Bettering yourself
We always need some time to ourselves, and through the hectic life of college, we sometimes forget this. Whether taking a long nap once a week or spending a night in just for the purpose of Netflix, make it part of your resolutions to do something good for you.
Happy New Year!
