I don't know about you, but I love TV. One of my favorite things to do is watch the pilots for TV shows because it's fun to see where they are start, even if the pilot is awful compared what the show develops into (think The Office, Friends). Here are 5 (relatively) new TV shows that you should start watching/get caught up on before other responsibiliteis take up your time.
1. The Mick (FOX)
Irreverent, irrational, and hilarious, The Mick is It's Always Sunny meets Parenthood in all the horrible ways you think that can go. It's bad-parenting on a colossal scale. It's a winner
2. This is Us (NBC)
Cue ALL the emotions. If this show doesn't get you hooked within two episodes, I'm not quite sure you're human. Just watch it. Life can wait.
3. Victoria (PBS)
If period pieces are your thing, check out Masterpiece's tale of Queen Victoria, one of Great Britain's longest ruling and most beloved monarchs.
4. Beyond (Freeform)
If you're a fan of sci-fi/fantasy shows with a cult-ish theme, try watching Freeform's (the new ABC Family if you didn't know) Beyond, a new series about a guy who wakes up after being in a coma for 12 years.
5. Timeless (NBC)
Time travel, American history, government conspiracy theories, and awesome costumes.
If you like any of the above, give NBC's Timeless a try. The narrative starts off a little rocky because they jump right in, but it starts to hit its stride around the third episode or so.
Happy watching!
