1. Mindhunter

If you liked Criminal Minds, you will love Netflix's "Mindhunter." The series follows the people who started the entire Behavior Analysis Unit. By interviewing well known serial killers, the fist team members of the BAU let us see how learning how a killer thinks all began. The characters are frustratingly good at their job and their backstories in the show make them even more interesting.

2. Nightcrawler

Acting as a stand alone videographer that sells pieces to news stations, Jake Gyllenhaal delivers a spine-chilling movie that left me speechless. My opinion on this movie may be biased because I intend to go into the journalism field, but I guarantee you will like this movie too if you enjoy action packed and watching a person fall apart mentally on screen.

3. Unbelievable

This series changed me, in a good and bad way. It made me rethink some of my beliefs and made me really think about who I am as a person. When I finished the series, I was heartbroken, I did not want these episodes to end. The series follows a teenager who claims she was sexually assaulted. She faces many obstacles and all of the characters involved in her story are as intriguing as she is.

4. When They See Us

This series should be watched by everyone. It shows what young African-American boys had to go through after being wrongly accused. The fear in their eyes while being interrogated and the sadness portrayed by the actors is unmatched.

5. Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich

I'm sure this one is more well-known than the others, but I felt compelled to put it in because it was so outrageous and heartbreaking at the same time. I'm going to be honest, when I was hearing on the news about Jeffrey Epstein dying in jail and the internet blew up, I didn't really know who he was. So when I saw a documentary on him, I decided I should probably learn more about him. Let me just say I was not expecting what I learned from the documentary. I was left in shock after it all and the story of Jeffrey Epstein should not go unnoticed.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
