Did you binge watch a whole series this past weekend? Are you sad, upset, and have a feeling of emptiness in your heart? Do you need a new series to fill that gaping hole? Here are five TV shows that are worth checking out.
1. The Office
If you have not sat down and at least watched a couple episodes of this, what are you doing? This documentary style series follows the lives of the people that work at Dunder Mifflin Paper Company. Steve Carell who plays the boss of the paper company, Michael Scott, is hysterical and the show has a very unique sense of humor. It is very similar to another popular TV show, Parks and Recreation.
2. Bob's Burgers
The show revolves around the life of Bob Belcher a third generation restaurant owner and his wife Linda along with their three children, Tina, Gene, and Louise. The characters are always getting themselves into crazy and situations which you could never make up. I find myself laughing uncontrollably when I watch this.
3. Freaks and Geeks
Freaks and Geeks is based on a bunch of high schoolers living in the 1980's. This TV follows the everyday lives of all of these individually different teenagers. Added bonus, Freaks and Geeks stars young James Franco. Unfortunately, this series is only one season long.
4. That 70's Show
That 70's Show is about a friend group of high schoolers living in the suburbs of Wisconsin in the 1970's. The show sums up pretty well what it was like to live in is era and proceeds to give an insight into the lives of these "almost adults." A large portion of this show is filmed in the main character's basement, this is the main place the friend group hangs out.
5. BoJack Horseman
This is probably the most ridiculous of the shows I have listed. BoJack Horseman is about a human like horse living his life as a 90's sitcom star. His friends include a cat, human, and dog but they all act as humans. This show follows his life as a "use to be famous" horse as he tries to regain his identity and fame.. which usually ends in disaster.
