Keep the love in the air during the Fall season

5 Must Try Fall Dates

“Cuffing” season is most definitely has arrived and that fall air makes everyone fall back in love with love, so grab your guy or girl and listen close because if you’re wondering what to do with your hunny this season, I have a few tricks up my sleeve to keep that love in the air this season. From the basics to the cute stuff, stay busy before all you’ll want to do is Netflix and Chill for the rest of Winter (by the way, the only time Netflix and Chill is ever thought of as a date is if you are ACTUALLY dating, do not be fooled).

  1. Fall Brewery (21+)

There are a bunch of microbrewies that have popped up in the NYC/NJ areas you have to stop by one and taste all the seasonal beet with your hunny. Only do this if your of age of course, but with spring and summer already gone the wineries are out of the question and Breweries are in. Pick a place where you can taste all that pumpkin beer.

2. Apple Picking

Okay, okay. We all know this one is a big one during the fall, but it is definitely a necessity. Dress in flannels, take pictures, throw the apples at one another, I don’t know, but make this a fun and eventful date. If the sun is shining and the weather is a little breezy this can and would be the perfect date to show your hun, you definitely still are and want to take cute, corny pictures with them.

3. Pumpkin picking

Another basic date, I know do not kill me. Pumpkin picking can lead to a full day of being together because your bae can show off his strength by carrying both your huge pumpkin (because we all know you’re not picking the smallest one) and his and then you can go home turn the fire on and carve those babies and show each other your creative side.

4. Haunted Houses/Haunted Hayride

This is kinda of basic as well, but I personally have never done this (being recently in a relationship and before being super single, ya girl would not go third wheeling to anything scary). The reason why we pick scary things to do with our significant other is because us ladies NEED our man to protect us, unless it’s the other way around then (girl power!) all the more power to ya sister. Hold tight to ya hun and get through the corn maze, the hayride, the house I don’t care what it is, just try not to scream to loud.

5. Hiking + Picnic

Lastly and my personal favorite before it gets to cold, plan a Saturday or Sunday back a basket full of your favorite foods together, make some Apple Cider Mimosas (again if your of age!), and enjoy the views and the time you have together. Hiking is adventurous and the picnic is romantic, it is honestly the best of both worlds. Even better to do this as a double date, so you can get super cute pictures.

For warning, I’m usually not this corny, but there is definitely something about this season that just makes you want to be with your babe 24/7. Enjoy the time before your splurging your whole paycheck for Christmas. Happy dating! :)

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
