Netflix is revolutionary.
Day-time television isn't as kept up with these days because we can now binge watch our favorite shows in one sitting. We no longer have to a whole week until we can find out what is going to happen to our favorite characters, thank God!
If you are looking for a recommendation on what show you should invest your time in, here is a list of my all time favorites.
1. One Tree Hill
The day I first started this series is the day that Nathan Scott stole my heart. All of the characters in this show are so relatable. It gives a good depiction of what high school is actually like, besides the teen marriages and the lack of adult supervision that the characters have. Nine seasons may seem like a lot to put yourself through, but let me tell you… it is worth the time. It is fun to see all of the characters develop into completely different humans than they were in season one. They start out as young high schoolers; end has established young adults.
2. Grey’s Anatomy
Never have I ever had a show play with my emotions like this one did. Meredith Grey and her friends will have you anticipating what they will do next in their 11 seasons on Netflix. This show will have you feeling like you don’t even need med school to become a surgeon by how often you are in the OR with them.
3. Vampire Diaries
Elena Gilbert the star of this intense mystical drama. In this series, you get to see the tragedy that affects her and how she overcomes it. She is romantically involved with two vampire brothers; you get to see her go back and forth between them until she finally settles down with one. She has a best friend who is a witch, another friend who is a werewolf, and so many vampire friends that it will have you questioning if the people around you are actually human.
4. Gossip Girl
Blair and Serena are the ultimate Upper East Siders. This show depicts the life of the ultra wealthy teenagers of Manhattan and all of their privileges. Their shopping habits, vacations, and love affairs make for a very riveting plot line.
5. Last but not least… Dexter
Dexter Morgan is a blood splatter expert who is based out of Miami. Not only does he analyze crime scenes, but he creates them. He is what I like to think of as a “friendly” serial killer. He only gets the bad guys who don’t get caught by the authorities. It is a well-written show that is definitely worth a watch.
