I recently took a road trip to Toronto, Canada and let me just tell you, it was absolutely amazing. Before the trip, my friends, my cousin, and I made a list of places we had to see. Based on our opinions, here are the top five places you should go to if you ever decide to go to Toronto, Canada.

1. LA Tour CN Tower

I feel as though this is a must if you ever visit the city. You are able to see the city in its entirety from 1,136 feet. On clear days, they say you are even able to see Niagara Falls! We didn't get to see it because it was super snowy when we went, but it is definitely a possibility. You also have the option of dining in their 360 restaurant or even doing the Edge Walk where you walk on the sides of the building.

2. The Graffiti Wall

It's an alleyway that is covered with graffiti and it differs in color schemes and overall themes. It was astounding to see the pure talent people had. Although it was below freezing when we went here, it is the perfect place to admire art and to take the coolest Instagram pictures.

3. The Lockhart

If you are a Harry Potter fan (even if you are not), you have to go here! Every inch of this place is covered with Harry Potter references. They have a hallway that has pages of the books pasted to it. It is a bar that you can go to if you want alcohol, but if you do not want to drink, they also have mocktails of certain drinks. The menu had a plethora of drinks that had names that related to the series. The atmosphere itself made you feel like you were in a more modern Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley.

4. Fring's

This is a restaurant that Drake, the rapper, had named. It is a bit more on the pricey side but definitely worth it. The food was delicious; I got the bucatini alla bolognese and a lava cake and it was amazing. The place had a very sophisticated atmosphere. Plus, there is a very cool sign located at the bottom of the building.

5. Fika

This is a coffee/pastry shop that has a very cute, artsy atmosphere. The staff is so sweet and helpful with any tips on what to get if you are new. I got a hot chocolate there that is now one of my top favorites. What makes it even better is that it has a wall that is covered in book pages!

These were just a few of the places I definitely suggest you go to if you ever decide to make a visit to Toronto! We also had an amazing time in the Distillery District and Fashion District where it is filled with unique shops and people. No matter what, just make the most of your time here and try new things!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
