Must-See Places In Atlanta, Georgia

Have you ever wondered who was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2005? Have you ever wanted to watch dolphins jump, flip and squeak indoors? Well, this is the list for you: the top five places to visit in Atlanta (and surrounding areas) during your summer break!

If you decide to go and visit Atlanta, make sure you check out the CityPASS option, because that gives you more of a deal and more benefits to the specific attractions.

1. Georgia Aquarium

You don't have to hold your breath, but you will definitely have it taken away at this wild and wet aquarium! Boasting the title of largest aquarium in the United States, this place is a spectacle that you have to go experience! From a Dolphin show that seats over 1,600 to the three whale sharks that swim around in a larger-than-life tank, this place will definitely make you feel like Aqua Man or Ariel!

With a cost of $30-35, you get more than your money's worth of experiences in fun, kid-friendly and beautiful experiences.

2. College Football Hall of Fame

You will definitely score a touchdown with this one! For every person in America has, at some point, watched a game of football. The College Football Hall of Fame is one of the coolest things in the city limits! You have a fully interactive environment inside the building, totally based off of your favorite team. You walk in and are greeted by a massive wall of beautiful college football helmets from across the country; it's good!

With a cost of $17-19, you will get a fully-interactive experience that comes complete with a "fan" pass to get you through the hall.

3. World of Coca-Cola

Have you ever wondered how Coke gets bottled? What other countries' sodas taste like? Well, do I have a treat for you! With the North American headquarters right down the street, take a walk across Centennial Park to the World of Coca-Cola. As you walk in, you are greeted with a complementary collector's edition bottle of Coke, Diet Coke or Coke Zero, and from there you begin your journey! Filled to the brim with beautiful, antique coke products and pop culture icons from as far back as the 50's, you will never have a dull moment walking through this massive facility! As you end your tour, you will find yourself in a room filled with over 100 different Coca-Cola soda products, from Fanta all the way to Beverly.

With a small price of $12-16, the world of Coke is one of the best options in the City of Atlanta; it's fun for all ages, and definitely a must-see if you are staying in town or even just driving through.

4. Olympic Park

Set in the center of town, the Olympic Park stands as a monument to the wonder and athletic ability that was beheld there not-so-long-ago in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. With the Olympics in Rio getting ready to take off not too long from now, this is a great way to gear up for all the international fun! This beautiful park is well maintained and home to some of the most beautiful water features in the south!

The park is free of charge and a very good place to take the kids or take a stroll with your significant other. With police and emergency kiosks all over the park, you will never have to worry about your safety!

5. National Center for Civil and Human Rights

The Civil Rights Museum is a beautiful work of art in the shape of a building set at the end of Centennial Park. When you walk in, you can feel the powerful message that is the world of Civil Rights. No words can do this place justice with the message and meaning that it carries. Filled with stunning examples of triumph and heartbreak, this place will (re)open your eyes to the struggle that was, and is, felt by so many people across the world.

The cost doesn't even begin to scratch the impact of this beautiful place. This is more for the young adult and older audience, but your kids are more than welcome.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
