Living near one of the greatest cities on Earth is awesome when Christmas comes around. Chicago has so much to do and see, especially during the Christmas season. Here are some of my favorite Christmas traditions in Chicago:
1. Visiting the Giant Tree at Macy's
Each year, Macy's on State Street decorates a huge Christmas tree. You can come eat lunch or dinner in the Walnut room and see the beautiful tree.
2. Christmas Windows at Macy's
Macy's on State Street also decorates their windows with the coolest decorations and cutest stories. Each window is different and has music and moving parts.
3. Christkindl Market
Each year, there is a traditional German Christmas market in Chicago. They have the best food and prettiest ornaments and handmade decorations.
4. Ice Skating at Millennium Park
A fun winter tradition. The Bean looks so cool while you are ice skating in front of it. Hot chocolate from Starbucks is the perfect treat to warm you up after!
5. Tree Lighting Ceremony
Each year in November, there is also a Tree Lighting Ceremony at Millennium park. This already happened, but will happen again next November and is the perfect way to kick off the Christmas season!
