Talking about music is like talking about shades of colors. How many different shades and tints of blue are there? Dozens. There are so many different types and subtypes of music that discovering new music almost becomes a hobby. Thanks to things like Pandora, Soundcloud, and Spotify finding new music is pretty easy. Here are some artists that are under the radar that deserve more recognition than they are receiving.

1. The Humble

Formally known as Mo Lowda & the Humble, the band shorted their name in the new year to just The Humble. They originate out of Philadelphia. Their journey started in 2010. They released their first album in 2013. They just released their sophomore album. The Humble is playing shows this summer in Asbury Park, NJ, Rehoboth Beach, DE, and New Hope, PA.

2. Sun Culture

SunCulture is a band from Springfield, Ohio. They bring a summery, upbeat feel to even the dreariest of days. Unfortunately they currently are not touring. They currently only have an EP and single out. Their EP has recently been taken off of Spotify, but can still be accessed on their Soundcloud.

3. 1st Vows

1st vows is one of front man of Envy on the Coast, Ryan Hunter's side projects. This project has been around since 2015. They currently have two EP's out, 1st Vows (the Red EP) and 1st Vows (the Green EP). He is not touring with 1st Vows, currently because there is going to be a reincarnation EOTC tour.

4. The Revivalists

The Revivalists are a little more well known. They have been around since 2007 and are out of New Orleans. They have released three full-length albums currently that are available to stream on Spotify. If you are interested in seeing them in concert, they are touring in late July through August with limited dates in the fall.

5. MOTHXR

This four person band is straight out of Brooklyn and fronted by Penn Badgley of all people. They have a indie R&B feel to them. MOTHXR just finished a brief tour with The Neighbourhood. Through September, they will be traveling the UK and Europe.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.
