This Big Adventure

Let's face it– every time we go out to eat and the food arrives, a moment must be spared for us to take a multitude of photos for our social media accounts. Especially if the food looks really good. Well, for me at least, documenting all of the food I've eaten is important. Yeah, I'm that person. But not every meal at a restaurant is worthy of that beloved #foodporn addition to a post. Living in NYC can be tricky; there are so many places to eat and so many new places to test out your photography skills.

Here's a list of the most Instagrammable places to eat in NYC– the food tastes just as great as it looks!

1. Black Tap - Meatpacking District

Black Tap is most known for their extravagant milkshakes that are nothing like your average shake. These drinks are larger than life, and so worth the wait. But this restaurant is so much more than that– they also sell really great burgers. What's better than your classic shake and burger combo? Nothing.

2. The Sugar Factory - Upper West Side & Meatpacking District

The Sugar Factory is by far one of the most Instagrammable places in the whole country, and for good reason. These drinks are made right in front of you and look amazing on your Instagram feed and Snapchat story.

3. The Bagel Store - Brooklyn

The rainbow bagel took the internet by storm in 2016. This isn't your ordinary bagel, and just by looking at it, you can tell that it's as sweet as it appears.

4. Momofuku Milk Bar - East Village, Williamsburg & Caroll Gardens

This bakery is most known for their soft serve ice cream, but also have lots more on the menu to try. From cakes to cookies and even hot chocolate- this bakery has something for everyone. The unique locations of The Milk Bar make it extra Instagram worthy.

5. Cafe Frida - Upper West Side

If you love Mexican food this restaurant is the place for you. This restaurant is perfect for displaying your love of tacos all across the internet. Steps away from the American Museum of Natural History, it's convenient location and aesthetically pleasing food is a great spot for taking pictures.

Sorority

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.
