Fast Food is one of the most popular types of food that Americans consume in their lifetime. From burgers to french fries, fast food is easy to get and it's good even when it's not healthy. Although some people who are American don't eat fast food for their own personal reasons, the majority of Americans eat fast food. There are plenty of fast food restaurants as well as plenty of fast food jobs in the United States. As a fast food worker myself, I wrote a different article about some of the struggles I have or had to deal with while working. Here are 5 more of those struggles I encounter and/or have encountered:
1. When you have to take orders in the drive-thru and someone pulls up to the speaker and right away yells "Hello" or something obnoxious
We understand that maybe you're in a hurry but you just got to the speaker. We will take your order. Just calm down a little bit. Thanks. Don't yell at us because the headset is on our head so we can hear you and it's loud in our ears when you're yelling.
2. When customers come in to order and they order and stand there at the counter waiting for their food and they start staring at you
It's very rude and annoying when you are standing there right if front of us waiting on your food but it's even more rude and annoying when you are just staring at us like we can make your food cook faster or come up faster.
3. When you have a customer come through drive-thru and you can smell the drugs they were smoking or are smoking in their car
It's your decision if you want to do drugs or not but we can smell drugs and we'd rather not smell them. You were smoking before you came here or during your visit so smoke on your own time, please. Sincerely, our lungs.
4. When someone comes through drive-thru and orders a lot of food like they're feeding the whole world
Why are you ordering so much food? Do you have a big family? Are you feeding your entire family? You realize that your total is going to be a lot, right? You should've came in to order it. Drive-thru means you don't order a million things. You won't get it that quickly.
5. When the restaurant is closed and people still try to order something through the drive-thru, try to come inside, or try a call-in order
At my job, we close both drive-thru and the main dining area at the same time. Nobody can come in after we lock the doors and we take our last car at the drive-thru and then that's it. After that, we're closed. People still attempt to make an order through the drive-thru speaker and some try to come in but the doors are locked so they missed out. Sorry but you should've came before we closed.
