I've been into makeup since I was 5. I used to dig deep into my aunt's makeup drawer and try everything on (God bless her). I spent nights in high school alone in my room trying on different makeup looks, washing it off, and trying on another.

Despite my big makeup love, I've never enjoyed the feeling of wearing a lot of makeup. You can usually catch me bare-faced on vacation and on the weekends, unless I'm going out. Come summertime, I do like to alter my makeup routine to play up my summer glow and enhance my lashes, all while keeping it light and smudge free. I mean, who wants sticky skin all day?

As an avid makeup experimenter, I've found the best of the best in both drugstores and higher-end makeup stores like Sephora, Ulta, and Blue Mercury. This summer, I think I've perfected my easy, glowy 5-minute makeup routine that you can wear from the beach to the bar. And I'm dying to share.

First thing is first, I always start off with a very light moisturizer. I have dry skin, but I do tend to clog up easily and I hate the feeling of moisturizer sitting on my face without ever soaking in. So in the summer, I opt for very light moisturizer and skip the foundation. If I have any blemishes, I usually use a light dusting of this Tart Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation or simply cover up the dot with my favorite Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Concealer.

Then, I cover my dark circles with a generous amount of the same Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser I mentioned above and lightly blend it in with a makeup sponge like this Miracle Complexion Sponge using a light tapping motion.

Once my undereye concealer is blended, I tap on a bit of this Tarte Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder to set the wet concealer in place.

Then I dab and blend a bit of this Clinique Chubby cream highlighter onto my cheekbones, the bridge of my nose, and cupid's bow for a little glow and pop. This is essential for looking like a bronzed summer goddess if you ask me.

Lastly, I hit my lashes with an eyelash curler for about 10 seconds each and swipe on 1 coat of my very favorite mascara. Trust me, it beats all expensive brands I have ever tried and I am always getting asked if these are my real lashes! Go buy Covergirl LashBlast Volume Mascara and thank me later. I then finish off my look with a luxurious, thick coat of my favorite chapstick, Palmer's Cocoa Butter Chapstick. It keeps you moist, feels amazing, smells great, and actually looks so good you can skip any gloss or lipsticks! Not to mention it is HUGE so you have fun applying it, weirdly enough.

With this simple look, you can show up at a pool, at the beach, at a barbecue, at a bar, party, or family event and feel perfectly done or natural at the same time, all while glowing like a goddess "naturally".

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
