With Christmas just around the corner, a lot of people might be finding themselves scrambling to pick up a last minute gift for a friend or relative. It's too late to get anything shipped in time, so any presents have to be purchased from a brick and mortar store— ugh! This is a list of gifts that are easy to assemble and don't require ordering anything online.

1. Relaxation Kit.

I put together two different versions of this gift. The basic idea is to assemble items that any woman would love to have whenever she wants to treat herself. The first option is made entirely of items I picked up my local Bath and Body Works. It contains a coco shea honey candle, two bath bombs, a vanilla bean noel body creme, and a matching body spray. The second version is made up of a pair of slippers and pajama set from Victoria's Secret, as well as a mini Dr. Teal's bubble bath and Epson salt that I got from Walgreen's.

2. DIY Shadow Box.

Shadow boxes are a beautiful addition to anyone's home decor and they have a special handmade touch. This option is especially great if you have collected a lot of great photos and memories with a certain friend or relative. Shadow boxes are really easy to create and they don't require a lot of supplies. All you need is a shadow box frame, photos, colorful paper, scrapbook letters, and a few decorative accents. I got this shadow box frame and everything I used to decorate it with from Michael's.

3. Sun & Fun Duo.

This is a great option if you live somewhere that is sunny and hot all year round, like California or Florida. I put this set together using a basic sunscreen from Walgreen's and a pair of adorable Betsey Johnson sunglasses I got a TJ Maxx. If you're looking to add a little more to this gift, consider adding a beach towel and/or a pair of cute sandals.

4. Makeup Lover's Eye Set.

A quick trip to Ulta or Sephora will get you everything you need for this gift idea. I paired the Peanut Butter and Honey Pocket Palette from Too Faced with one of the Better Than Sex Mascaras by the same brand to create this cute makeup gift.

5. Accessories Jar.

There are a lot of great variations of this gift. You can create put it together using any earrings, necklaces, headbands, or bracelets. There are a lot of cute accessories available at Target and almost every women's fashion store you can find at a mall. I put my accessories jar together using two pairs of earrings I had ordered earlier from Paparazzi jewelry and a headband I got at Charlotte Russe. The jar itself is from Walgreen's.

Merry Christmas!

8 Things I Realized After My First Semester In College

Actually, Kylie Jenner, 2018 is the year of realizing things.

The first semester of college is famous for being one of the most difficult transitions of one's young adult life. You're thrown into a completely new area where the majority of the people surrounding you are strangers in an academic environment that's much more challenging then what you've grown accustomed to for the past twelve years. On top of that, you probably share a room with another person (or even multiple people) on the lumpiest "mattress" you've ever slept on.

With this change comes a lot of questions: what do I want to major in? What am I passionate about? Is what I'm passionate about something I'm actually good at? Why does the bathroom smell like cranberry juice and vodka? What is that thing at the bottom of the shower drain?

6 Unrealistic Expectations Society Has For Young Adults

Don't let the thesaurus-inspired vocabularies in our résumés fool you. We're actually just big kids.

Well over four feet tall and 100 pounds in weight, many of us "young adults" of the world still consider ourselves children. Big, working, college-attending, beer-drinking children. We may live on our own, know how to cook noodles, and occasionally use a planner, but don't be fooled; the youthful tendencies that reside within us still make their way into our daily lives. From choosing to stay up until 3:00 a.m. playing video games on a school night to going out in 30 degree weather without a coat, we still make decisions that our parents and grandparents would shake their heads at in disappointment. So why are we expected to know exactly how to be a wise, professional, sensible adult? It's not that we're irresponsible (for the most part, anyway). It's that we are young, inexperienced, and still have the sought-after, enthusiastic mentality that we can do and be whatever we want, which has not yet been tarnished by the reality of the world. These are just a few of the unrealistic expectations that society has for young adults.
