Yeah, I'm sick of superheroes, too.

Trust me, I am the first to admit that I am a little sick of superhero movies. With more and more superhero movies coming out every year, it is hard to feel that they are taking over Hollywood. What makes matters worse is that it feels like all superhero movies share the same story over and over again, which makes the movie watching experience pretty boring.

With that said, I have seen every single Marvel movie ever, mostly out of fear of missing something good. Still, even though I am a little sick of Marvel Movies, I have my favorites I always come back to. Here are a few Marvel movies that I recommend you check out, even if you are not usually a fan of superhero movies. These are movies that have superheroes in them, but not necessarily the standard superhero plot that so many movies have today.

1. "Black Panther"

Marvel’s newest movie and probably one of my favorite movies of all time. Even though it has been out for only a few months now, I have already seen it twice and it has made me physically emotional both times. I love this movie not because it's a great Marvel movie, but a great movie in general. Trust me, you will not be disappointed!

2. "Spiderman: Homecoming"

I am a huge Spiderman fan. I have seen all of the different adaptations of the famous web-slinger from the original Tobey Maguire version to the very ambitious but short-lived Broadway adaptation. I love the "Spiderman: Homecoming" version of Spidey because in this one, he is actually in high school and he is part of the greater Marvel cinematic universe. This movie has great action sequences and it is absolutely hilarious!

3. "X-Men First Class"

I only recently saw all of the X-Men movies and I must admit that "X-Men: First Class" was my favorite out of all of them. I still have not seen Logan yet, but I heard it was also pretty fantastic. "X-Men First Class" is the very interesting start to the X-Men story in the 1960s and how the first X-Men team came together. In my opinion, "First Class" is the strongest of the new X-Men movies.

4. "Thor: Ragnarok"

I am the first to admit that I have not given the Thor franchise enough attention in which it deserves, but I must admit that "Thor: Ragnarok" is hilarious. This movie repeatedly breaks the superhero fourth wall and you will learn some very important information about a particular Avenger and his whereabouts. If you are looking for a laugh with some very heartfelt moments, check out this film.

5. "The Avengers"

Who can forget the hype around the original Avengers when it first came out? This movie was everywhere. Never before was there a movie that brought together the plots of so many other movies to create their own cinematic universe. It has the perfect blend of humor, action, and storytelling. "The Avengers" changed the game and I have seen it more times than I am willing to admit.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
