For those who don’t know, Lush is a company that offers fresh, handmade cosmetics. It believes in using natural ingredients. Their products are 100% vegetarian, and sans animal testing. The company also support ethical and fair trade buying when purchasing ingredients. Their motto is “we believe in protecting people, animals and the planet”. They also partake in many raise money for various causes and charitable work. As an example, last summer they raised $425,000 from the worldwide sale of its "GayIsOK" soap, with the funds going to LGBT campaign groups. On top of all of that, they have some pretty kickass products. Here are the five you should really give a try.

1. Charity Pot Lotion

A super moisturizing lotion for your hands and body. This lotion will also make your heart feel good! 100% of the purchase price goes towards supporting humanitarian, environmental, and animal rights causes. Since being invented in 2007, this lotion has donated close to three million dollars to various causes around the world.

2. Fresh Face Masks

Lush carries about a dozen face masks that are so fresh they have a shelf life of one to two weeks and have to be refrigerated. These masks target everything from hormonal breakouts to rosacea to just brightening and hydrating the face! Many “Lushies” have sworn by them for overall, lasting face improvement.

3. Solid Shampoo Bars

Unlike bottles of liquid shampoo, Lush’s shampoo bars are small, long-lasting, concentrated amounts of shampoo. They last up to 80 uses, which is comparable to two or three bottles of normal shampoo. They’re also packed full of effective ingredients and essential oils. They’ve created a few for each type of hair! Not to mention, they’re perfect for travel!

4. Lip Scrubs

These sugar scrubs exfoliate your lips like you’ve never experienced. They are edible and tasty. They make delectable flavors such Popcorn, Bubble Gum, Mint Julips, (which tastes like Frango Mint Meltaways) to name a few. Just make sure you don’t eat the whole jar!

5. Bath Bombs

You probably expected this to be first on the list. The popularity on social media these bath bombs get is for a reason! I saved the best item for last. Lush makes over 20 different kinds that all make your bathtub colorful all while relaxing you and working wonders for your skin. Their scents vary from citrusy and woodsy to sweet and floral and everything in between.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads.
