5 Things Everyone Who Has Lost a Furry Friend Needs to Hear

Our pets come into our lives to teach us about love. They make us laugh, smile, and show us what true loyalty really looks like day in and day out.

But what happens when that furry friend is no longer here?

For everyone who has lost a furry friend, here are five things you need to hear:

1. It is okay to be upset.

Some people may think that it's foolish to mourn over the loss of a pet, but it's not. Your furry friend becomes just as much a part of the family as you are, and their loss will be mourned just as greatly. Never let that stereotype stop you from doing what you need to do.

2. Cherish every memory.

I know that when I lost my cat, the main thing that kept me going was the memories. From the day you first get that special friend, to every day after, cherish it all. From play time to all the times you needed the shoulder a shoulder just to cry on. Find happiness and peace in those memories.

3. Their love lasts a lifetime.

Even though they may be gone, their love lasts a lifetime. The love a pet has for his/her owner is so special. They so easily become your best friend and the same love they always had for you will always remain.

4. You never really lose that furry friend.

Sometimes we forget that even though that furry friend is no longer here, they're still in our hearts. We carry them with us everywhere we go. We never really lose them.

5. You can never have too many memorandums.

From pictures, to their toys, to even a collar or leash. Never feel like you can have too many of these things. Anything that serves as a reminder will never grow old and will always remind you of the memories and times the two of you shared together.

Sometimes we forget that even though that furry friend is no longer here, they're still in our hearts. We carry them with us everywhere we go. We never really lose them; they're always in our hearts.

Although the loss is difficult, always keep these things in mind and never forget.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
