About 4 months ago, something popped up on my Facebook timeline that I had never seen before: LimeLight by Alcone. One of my good friends started sharing posts about her new experience with the company, and how much she loved the products. After looking into the company, I learned the company was a network marketing branch of a professional grade makeup company lead by beauty guides. I decided to support my friend in her new endeavor and hoped that the products would be even half as good as I hoped they were.

Before I continue, let me tell you that I am not getting paid to say this: I adore LimeLight’s products. I started out with the skincare and I quickly realized that I had to get more products in my hands. I have always loved makeup and skin care, and I recently decided that I wanted to be more conscious of what I’m putting in and on my body. All-natural, cruelty-free products are important to me. I’ve compiled a list of crowd favorite LimeLight products below, so reach out to a LimeLight by Alcone Beauty Guide and try these out. I promise you’ll love them.

1. Enduring Lip Colors

2. Botanical Foundation

3. Dream Clean Cleanser

4. Perfect Mascara

5. Waterproof Concealer

The Enduring Lip Colors are liquid lipsticks that dry to a matte finish without drying out your lips. They smell delicious and feel great on your lips. They come in 10 shades currently. My favorite color is Macaroon, but Cherry Pie is a close second.

According to the LimeLight by Alcone website, “[Botanical Foundation] contains only vegetable oils, pure waxes, and FDA approved colors. It does not contain any animal product ingredients, perfume, lanolin, petroleum, or mineral oil—the first two can cause allergic reactions on some skins, and the last two are not absorbed by the skin, causing excess oiliness on the surface. In other words, this foundation is healthy for the skin, will never clog pores, and has cured facial acne for many of our customers!

Need I say anything more?

Dream Clean cleanser foams as you use it as a result of its natural-foaming fruit extract, Soapberry. Soapberry also combats acne-causing bacteria and inhibits melanin production, reducing the appearance of age spots and sun damage.

LimeLight’s Perfect Mascara is a huge crowd favorite. It recently came back in stock after being out of stock for a while, and it fairly flew off of the shelves. It is a one-step fiber mascara and it is ah-mazing.

The Waterproof Concealer is a huge favorite because of its versatility. The concealer can be used as just that—concealer. It can also be used as foundation when a user wants waterproof foundation. Darker and lighter shades can be used for contouring, too. The high pigmentation also lends itself to being a great cover up for tattoos.

These are just a few of the products I strongly recommend you try. You won’t be disappointed!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
