In high school, my teachers told me that college would be a whole new adventure. While this is true, there are some things they told me that were a lie in comparison to my experiences so far.

"They only use APA format in College"

All my papers in English had to be MLA Format

"You're gonna find a nice man in College"

"Wanna go get wasted tonight?" - not a nice man

"The food is going to be so much better in College than it is here"

There's only a certain amount of times you can deal with getting served cold or undercooked food before resorting to Lucky Charms

"You're not going to have any downtime in College"

You'll have enough time to go to Walmart, watch Netflix, put your friends belongings in Jell-O...

"They don't give extra credit in College"

My professor gave bonus points just for reading the instructions

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here.
