Did you know that Valentine's Day is just a few days away? Of course, you did. But just in case the holiday of love slipped your mind this year, here are 5 easy gifts to give your girlfriend that will take you less than 1 hour to have ready.

1. DIY Candy Basket

If you're low on cash but have a little bit of time, this gift will be easy on your wallet but still please your girl. Head to the dollar store or Walmart and pick up a variety of different candies. For each candy, think of a cute saying to go with it. For example, for Skittles you could write "You make life colorful!" Write the saying on a card and you're good to go. It's thoughtful and delicious.

2. Too Faced Love Flush Blush

If she is a makeup lover, this heart shaped blush compact is the perfect gift. Not only is the packaging Valentine themed, but the product is great as well. You can buy it at any Sephora or Ulta store.

3. Heart-Shaped Pizza and Cookies

If your girl loves food, this is the gift for her. On Valentine's day, Pizza Hut is making heart-shaped pizza with a side of cookies. Show up to her house with this and a movie and you're all set!

4. Victoria's Secret Underwear

It may not be the most unique gift, but VS underwear is always a hit. As long as you know her size, you can head to Victoria's Secret and grab a present in under an hour.

5. A Date

If you really have no time to pick up a gift, send your girl a text that says, "get dressed up, I'll pick you up in an hour." Then simply take her to a nice restaurant. She will love it and think that you actually planned something.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
