For as long as I can remember, I have always had summers off from school. That is the way I like it, but when I started college, I had to take summer classes every semester to ensure that I have enough hours yearly for my scholarship requirements. I like getting the classes over with, but I hate having school work in the summer. As I am preparing to start the summer semester, I thought it would be fun to list a few Disney quotes to inspire any other struggling students to help make it through summer classes.
1. "The only way to get what you want in this world is through hard work." - Tiana, "The Princess and the Frog." Keep working hard; you can do it! All your hard work will pay off eventually.
2. "It'll turn out all right in the end. You'll see." - Mrs. Potts, "Beauty and the Beast." Summer classes will end; they do not last forever. Just keeping doing your work and everything will turn out all right.
3. "Sometimes the right path is not the easiest one." - Grandmother Willow, "Pocahontas." It is not always easy, but going down the right path is always what is best for you.
4. "Have faith in your dreams, and someday your rainbow will come smiling through." - "Cinderella." Always have faith in your dreams, and keep pressing forward, your breakthrough will come.
5. "What do you do when things go wrong? Oh! You sing a song!" - "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves." Don't forget to take a break. When everything seems too much to bear, take a minute. You can sing a song or "dance it out" if you have to, just take 30 seconds to do something fun or silly to take your mind off of everything, then get back down to work.
We are working hard for our degrees, no one said it would be easy. But there are some ways that can help make it a little more bearable. Stay in there, you can do it!
