1.Go Black Friday shopping
There will never be another time of the year when you will get the deals on all the items that you want to give as gifts/buy for yourself. It is worth the large crowds and late night. Going Black Friday shopping is one of the kick off things to do for the Christmas season. Layer up your clothes, put on a smile, and go buy some things.
2.Set up your Christmas Decorations (if you haven’t already.)
After you have done all your shopping (and taken a nap), it is time to actually decorate. Go cut down a tree (or pull one out of a box), get the Christmas music playing and get in the mood for Christmas. Nothing spreads Christmas cheer like having lights hung up, the tree all decorated, and of coursing singing loud for all to hear.
3.Start writing your Christmas Cards.
December is the busiest time of the year for the mail system. It’s best to start right away of writing all the cards to send to all your friends and family. Whether you personally design your cards, or go to Wal-Mart and buy them, get started on those right away.
4.Start baking the goodies.
Cookies, candies, pies, and all the sweets. This is the month where all diets go on hold. Go to your grandma’s, or your parent’s house, and start making all of your favorites. We all have our favorite Christmas time sweets and there is nothing wrong with making enough of it to have multiple times before Christmas. Take some to your neighbors and to work to share. Show everyone what your favorite Christmas sweet is and let them see that you/your grandma/mom really are the best in the world at making it.
5.Remember the reason for the season.
This is by far the most important thing to do right away at the beginning of the Christmas Season. The shopping, decorations, cards, and sweets are all great but would not be possible without our Lord and Savoir. The reason for the season is that Jesus Christ was born and no matter what traditions your family has, remember to male praising the birth of our Savior the top reason and first thing to do in the Christmas season.
