You may have heard of some of these places already, but it’s a perfect reminder for cute and simple dates or fun times with friends. Ice cream is clearly the best way to bond, so make sure to take a look at these unique parlors!

1. Snowy Rolls Ice Cream

This has become the latest trend in Johns Creek Instagram posts (more so than Luv-a-bowl). Instead of normal scoops, they decided to go a different route with scraping the ice cream. It almost gives it a healthier look because the quantity isn’t as full. Get with the program and get yourself some scraped up ice cream!

2. Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream

Jeni’s has been in the greater Atlanta area for quite some time, but luckily for most of us, there has been a recent addition in Avalon. They have creative flavors such as “Yazoo Sue with Rosemary Bar Nuts” or “Brown Butter Almond Brittle” (one of my favorites). A little on the pricier side, but they have great combinations of sundae’s and the BEST hot fudge I have ever experienced.

3. Jake’s Ice Cream

With a similar name as the previous, this place is also in the Atlanta area and has an abundance of flavors. Some of the favorites are “Chocolate Raspberry Truffle”, “Cinnamon Kenya AA”, and “German Chocolate Cakescream”.

4. Where’s the Scoop? Gourmet Ice Cream

This is a brand new place in Alpharetta and it definitely has attracted a ton of attention with its 3D chocolate: Deep, Dark and Delicious. With “Chocolate Malt” and “Bourbon Toffee”, it lives up to the name of Gourmet.

5. Honeysuckle Gelato

Going in a slightly different (and more European) direction, in the adorable and totally millennial atmosphere of Ponce City Market lies a small gelato place. With cookie ice cream sandwiches, milkshakes, loads of toppings and flavors, it always has a long line for the demand of delightful gelato.

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.

beer on the beach

Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Which is none other than beer; wonderful cold beer. With summer playing peek-a-boo around the corner while we finish up this semester, it's time to discuss the only important part of summer.
