Have you ever heard the story of the husband who forgot his anniversary, and was in trouble with his wife because of it? Anniversaries are an extremely important date in the lives of married couples. Here are five dates that people should never forget.

1. Birthdays

Birthdays are extraordinarily important. Birthdays are more than just a day to say that you are older and receive gifts. Birthdays are important because they represent the day that a person's life began. Birthdays are a date to think about how precious life is, and to be appreciative of the fact that we are alive and we have survived another year on this earth. Most of the time, when people do not want others to remember their birthday, it is because they don't want to think about how old they are. However, people should appreciate the fact that they have lived to become as old as they are.

2. Christmas

Similarly to birthdays, Christmas is another date that is significant for more than just receiving presents. Most people who practice the Christian religion, and even those who don't know the story of Christmas and know why the holiday is important. Christmas is the day that we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, whom Christians recognize as the son of God. Christmas is also similar to birthdays in the fact that they are also a day to recognize the significance of life, and to appreciate the fact that we are alive and here on this earth.

3. Anniversaries

Anniversaries are an important date to remember not just because you will get in trouble with your wife if you don't. Anniversaries are significant because they symbolize the importance and sacred nature of wedding vows. During a wedding, a couple express's their love for one another, and sanctity's that love with marriage. The marriage between two people should be made sacred every day. Anniversaries are just one day to remember the commitment that two people made to one another and recognize the significance and importance of that commitment.

4. Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a holiday to be appreciative and thankful for everything that we have. Thanksgiving is a time to think about and remind ourselves of everything we have been given in life. So many people forget to appreciate everything we have, and Thanksgiving is a day to do exactly that.

5. Everyday!

Each day is a gift, and should be treated as one. People should be grateful, and happy every day. So go out, and celebrate each day like a holiday!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
