Now that Thanksgiving is over its time to spread Christmas cheer! This holiday season brings out everyone's holiday spirit including Philadelphia's. Here are 5 festive attractions you must check out!

1. Bluecross RiverRink Winterfest: What better way to get into the holiday mood than to go ice skating? Penn's Landing turns into a winter wonderland starting Nov. 25th when they open up their skating rink along with winter garden covered in decorative Christmas lights.

2. Franklin Square Holiday Festival & Light Show: No matter how old you are, everyone is mesmerized by Christmas light shows. Franklin Square gets lit up by over 50,000 lights twinkling to a fun holiday soundtrack, so be sure to check out this spectacle. 3. Reading Terminal Market Holiday Railroad: This season Reading Terminal Market is offering more than just amazing food, they have a 500 square foot railroad track running throughout with 17 train lines. So now you can enjoy your delicious food by watching the trains travel seamlessly throughout.

4. Adventure Aquarium's Christmas Celebration: Who doesn't want to see a Santa scuba diver? Throughout the month of December come to the Adventure Aquarium to see it turned into a winter wonderland, even including falling snow.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.
