We get it, eating healthy is hard. The struggle of packing food up the night before, or making yourself wake up extra early to get everything together. For some it may seem unrealistic, but when it comes to your health and what you're putting in your body it should be a priority. Especially when trying to reach a fitness goal or when you're wanting to lose weight. I know how boring salads can get, and frankly you're a foodie who likes to have some flavor. But don't worry, there are so many options and recipes out there created by people who are in the same pickle as you! But having a healthy lunch packed for any outing is a good plan, so here are a few smart and easy lunch ideas to try out!


Mexican Pizza

Who doesn't love pizza? And who doesn't love Mexican pizza filled with beans, cheese, shredded chicken and salsa, stuffed in a crispy tortilla. Once grilled you can top it off by spreading enchilada sauce over the top with a sprinkle of cheese as well. Yum! A must try!


Ranch Turkey Wrap

Start with a large tortilla, spread ranch and add the wraps fillings. Romaine lettuce, sliced tomatoes, turkey, and cheese. I always like to grill them to get the tortilla warm. Just slice in half and it's as simple as that!



Zucchini and Shrimp Scampi

If you haven't see this delicious recipe on Pinterest, where have you been? Zucchini noodles and seasoned shrimp mixed in together with a little vegetable broth!


Avocado Toast

Avocados are considered a superfood, containing more potassium than bananas and loaded with heart healthy fatty acids, fiber, and powerful antioxidants, making a mashed avocado with a little seasoning the perfect spread. Toast seems to be the most popular but you can even go for a bagel or english muffin. You can also top with whatever your heart desires for a little extra something. Fried/ poached eggs, tomatoes, cheese, chicken, salmon, it's such an easy lunch idea that can always be switched up.


Burrito Bowls

Rice, black beans, avocado, corn, shredded chicken, black olives, salsa, guacamole, cheddar cheese and your done! Bam! Bowls are such a quick alternative, you literally just throw it all in a tupperware and you're good to go.

When thinking about “eating healthy” the first thing that comes to mind are boring salads with no flavor that never keep you full. When I think about healthy eating, I think about the products that go into what i'm making, and staying far away from anything processed. It's so easy to just give into that greasy pizza place right next to where you work, but trust me you will be saving money, and doing good for your body, all by packing a simple lunch box.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.
