5 Great Action Games to Play

Just a simple list of some great action games I've played throughout my time!

Overwatch

Currently my favorite action game to play at this moment. There is a lot of stuff all happening at once, there is a good diversity in the types of characters you can play, and it very much is a team based game. With some of the other games, you might be able to get away with carrying your team but in Overwatch, this is much harder to do. It also allows veteran players who have played other games to come to this and try their legs out doing a healing class, or a tanking class, different than the usual action FPS type game.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior

A personal preference, I’ve always liked the stealth based games. This one you just sneak through the jungle and then take people out. There really isn’t more to say but if you’re a fan of these stealth/sniper based games, really check it out!

Rocket League

Not even sure if this counts as an action game, but this game is addictive and amazingly fun. You’re a rocket car and you play soccer. What more else is there to say? The games are short so you can do a couple if you’re pressed for time and just want to get some lazy time in.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

An iconic FPS. this game series has been around since the early 2000s. There are constantly tournaments for this game and I would beg to say one of the most competitive games out there. This game does not have any sort of regeneration to the health, what you start the round with is what you get, and just a few shots and you lose. This game is also largely based on game sense through knowing the individual maps as well as having good ear to listen for footsteps.

Call of Duty Series

I know there are tons of people out there that are fanatics about this series and love to play it. This game is an equalizer of sorts, if you aren’t that great at aiming, there are weapons that you can just spray and win. I would never put serious time in this game to try and get really good, it’s just a fun game to play with some friends on the couch.

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.

8tracks radio

We all scroll through the radio stations in the car every once in a while, whether its because we lost signal to our favorite one or we are just bored with the same ol' songs every day. You know when you're going through and you hear a song where you're just like "I forgot this existed!" and before you know it, you're singing every word? Yeah, me too. Like, 95% of the time. If you're like me and LOVE some good throwback music, here's a list of songs from every genre that have gotten lost in time, but never truly forgotten.

beer on the beach

Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Which is none other than beer; wonderful cold beer. With summer playing peek-a-boo around the corner while we finish up this semester, it's time to discuss the only important part of summer.
