5 Gifts For This Holiday Season

It's time to start your holiday shopping! With Christmas and Hanukkah fast approaching it is time to hit the stores and buy gifts for your family and friends. You might be wondering, "What do I buy them?" which is completely okay. Holiday shopping is one of the hardest things to do because you want to get them something that they would actually use, but do not already have. Here is my list of gifts that I believe anybody could use and would love to have. Check it out and maybe add some to your list this year!

1. Phone charger cables. This one may seem a little silly, but is really handy. Extra phone charger cables is so useful no matter what type of phone you have. I have an iPhone and my charging cable breaks every few months. It's nice to have an extra one on hand in case it does break and you need a new one. You can buy them basically anywhere too. CVS, Rite Aid, Apple, Best Buy, online, etc. has them available for purchase.

2. Visa Gift Card. These things are really great. You can use them at any store that accepts Visa and anywhere online. Unlike American Express gift cards, they do not charge an activation fee so you're only paying for the amount that you want to put on the card. These are a great alternatives for a store/restaurant gift card because the person can use the card anywhere, it does not limit them to one place.

3. Netflix subscription. Netflix and chilling is amazing. Ever since Netflix was invented, lazy days have been taken to a whole different level. Binge watching your favorite shows has never been easier. For one person to screen Netflix it costs $7.99/month, two screens at once costs $9.99/month, and four screens will cost $11.99/month. Netflix unlimited streaming subscription cost about $7.99 per month.

4. Board games. Board games are a great idea for rainy days, nights in, power outages, family bonding, etc. Some of my favorite board games include Monopoly, Scrabble, Uno, Clue and Pictionary. Board games are fun for all ages and never get old.

5. Gift basket. Give your loved one or friend a gift basket of all their favorite foods/candies/etc. This is a creative gift that is pretty easy to make and a gift that they'll be sure to love. Throw a mix of their favorite things in a basket and make it pretty.

I hope this list helps you with your shopping this year! You don't need to spend a ton of money to make a gift special. Remember, all that matters is that the gift came from the heart. I hope you have a happy holiday season and get some of the gifts that you wanted!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
