With the holiday's quickly approaching, the writer on your list will most likely be the hardest to find a gift for. Writers tend to be quirky and their taste in life is unique.
Here are 5 wish list items from a fellow writer:
1. Nocturnal Journal - Can't Sleep Write Now $11.61
This is one of the most ingenious things I have seen in a good while. It is a journal for the fellow over thinker that gives prompts to write about at night. Examples include: "Describe the taste of regret" and "Late night movie list." It is also full of quotes like "Sleep is the most moronic fraternity in the world with the heaviest dues and the most crudest rituals." -Vladimir Nakabov Definitely something to ease the fast paced mind of even a novice writer or an insomniac (sometimes they are one in the same).
2. Shower Thinking- Aqua Notes $7.65
Some of the best and most impressive ideas that have ever come to mind happen at most inconvenient of times. One of those time is most definitely the shower. "Shower Thoughts" are something every writer experiences. The moment when a perfect way to reword that sentence you were struggling with comes to mind is also the same moment that you don't have a pen and paper. Simply said, Problem Solved!3. Caffeine- Chai Tea $3.40
Tea is one of two ways writers actively consume caffeine. That and coffee. Whether you like your tea and coffee with cream and/or sugar, I think we can all agree all it needs to have is caffeine. The brand of tea pictured above is one of my favorites! It is available at most grocery stores.
4. Perfume that reminisces that of aging paper- Paperback $19.70
I can't say it better than the website, but this is a beautiful idea! Enjoy:
"Did you know that volatile organic compounds are released by aging paper and that it is these that give an old book that very distinctive, pleasantly musty scent? Clever scientists at the University College London have even devised a method of olfactory-based analysis in order to accurately measure the condition and age of historical documents and literary works on the basis of their aroma."
5. A letter from the heart- A Handwritten Letter
The best thing you can give a writer is your own writing. That is all I can say. Receiving the art of someone else is so beautiful. It feels more personal than anything else you can do for a writer.
I hope you have enjoyed this list! Writers may seem hard to gift so I hope this it helps.
