5 Games I could Play Forever (And Have)

Now I like to consider myself a bit of a gamer. I rarely go a day without playing some sort of video game either on my phone or my desktop, and if I'm not, often times I'm watching other people play video games online (strange I know, but honestly it entertains me).

That being said, every gamer has those few games they always go back to. Here are some of mine.

1. The Sims

I know I have the Sims 4 as the picture, but honestly, I have all four versions of the game and am constantly playing one version (currently it's Sims 4). Honestly, if I could only play one game for the rest of my life, this would be it. There is just something about The Sims that is so freeing to me; it's probably the open world aspect and the storytelling that drives the games which draws me to it.

2. Dragon Age

It's a running joke between my friends about how many times I have played these games. As of right now, I have played Dragon Age Origins 3 times (beaten 1 and on the way to a second), Dragon Age 2 five times (beaten all) and Dragon Age Inquisition five times (beaten four). I am addicted to this game because it has the perfect sense of adventure and fantasy plus a sense of doom as your choices literally have an effect on the gameplay and the characters around you. You could honestly play this game 100 times and do it differently every time (trust me, I know).

3. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Now, I love Zelda (like have it tattooed on my body forever kind of love) so it's not really that much of a surprise that one of the games of the franchise made the list, but unlike most, my goto isn't Ocarina of Time (though that game was amazing and a part of my childhood). Instead, it's the 2006 Twilight Princess. Not only does this game's gritty art style blow me away, the gameplay has me coming back again and again (no matter how many times I get frustrated).

4. Pokemon

Tell me you didn't play these games over and over again as a kid. Go ahead, lie to me.

5. Uncharted 1

The reason I chose to put the first Uncharted on here instead of the newer and shinier sequels to the game is because none of them could quite recapture that initial sense of awe and adventure that the first game did. Now, I did not play this game when it first came out, but rather only played it a few years ago when I had first gotten my PS3 and it came with the bundle of the first two games. Usually, I would not have played this type of game (shooting games not really my forte) but the realistic nature of Nathan Drake and his companions, plus a witty dialogue and numerous puzzle drew me in. Don't get me wrong, I love the other games too, but the first Uncharted will always have a special place in my heart.

So there you go people, my list of 5 games that I could literally play forever.

What's on your list?

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
