Before there was Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, etc., computer games were played instead of apps. Growing up in the late 1990's, I was introduced to games that I still miss to this day. Here are 5 games you could have played while growing up in the late 90's.

1. Kid Pix

Kid Pix was THE game to play to make your imagination run wild. The only place to create whatever you could think of.

2. Backyard Baseball

The baseball game where you played for HOURS on end.

3. RollerCoaster Tycoon

You built better parks than Six Flags!

4. The Sims

The Sims is an iconic game that still tends to exist. We thought we figured out their language and actions but they are still a mystery to us today.

5. Magic School Bus


Ms. Valerie took all of us through all of the adventures that we read and watch on tv.


Playing these games brings back a lot of memories and childhood feelings. I wish I could go back and play them all over again.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here.
