Frozen pizza is a staple for any first apartment refrigerator; however, they're not all the same. There are many ways a frozen pizza can be ranked, with many of them seeing how close the pizzas taste to delivery. If we wanted delivery pizza, we'd order it right? I hear a few "No Ragrets" as you pull out the last $20 you have to hand to the delivery guy you're pretty sure is in your Abnormal Psych class. With that in mind, here are 5 frozen pizzas ranked based on variety, price, and taste on a scale of 1 to 5, 1 being the worst, 5 being the best.
1. DiGiorno.
DiGiorno is among the best in non-delivery pizza. The cheese isn't chewy and doesn't taste powdery, and there isn't a ton of sauce to cause all the other toppings to fall off. However, sometimes the crust can be chewy. There are a ton of topping options as well, causing it to rank high on the variety scale. At $4.99 each at Meijer, they rank fair on the price scale.
Variety: 5
Price: 3

2. Jack's Pizza.
Jack's is a close second to DiGiorno, with the only differences being less variety, in addition to their affordability. You can get 4 of them for $10 at Meijer, which breaks down to $2.50 a pizza.
Variety: 2
Price: 5
Taste: 5
3. Tony's.
Tony's also fairs pretty well. The cheese to sauce ratio is good, the price is great, and the variety is decebt as well. However, the brand can sometimes be difficult to find. They can (most of the time) be found at Meijer for $2.79 a pizza.
Variety: 4
Price: 5
Taste: 4
4. Red Baron.
Red Baron, while not awful, just isn't that great. They fair well in price but not in the other categories. I've only ever seen cheese, pepperoni, and MAYBE a deluxe option, making them a poor option for the variety category. You can get one pizza for $3.59 at Meijer, so price isn't bad. But they fall short in taste with crust that's often too crispy, and way too much sauce.
Variety: 1
Price: 4
Taste: 2
5. Tombstone.
Tombstone has better variety than Red Baron, but falls short elsewhere. While the cheese is good, there's never enough of it. The sauce is also plentiful, which is never good without enough cheese. They run for $3.99 a pizza at Meijer.
Variety: 4
